JoEllen has worked all over the world in her 40 years in human services. After graduating from Northern Arizona and the University of Michigan, she worked in Vietnam and Vietnamese refugee camps, for CPS in Arizona, as a Housing Advocate in Seattle and Chicago, and right here at Open Door for the past 11 years. She specializes in early childhood (0-6), adolescents and families, trauma, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and incarcerated persons and their families. The energy she receives from her colleagues and her clients keeps her motivated, excited, and eager to come to work every day. If she’s not working, you’ll find JoEllen cooking, reading, doing yoga, walking her dog, or searching for heart-shaped rocks.
