Medical Services

At Open Door Health Center, an experienced team of family practice medical providers offer exams and treatment for all ages. We offer a team-based approach. Our caring doctors and Nurse Practitioners are focused on all of your health care needs.

Our Services Include:

Acute illness/Same day visits
Immunizations and Primary Care
Preventive exams/DOT Physicals
Chronic disease management (diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, COPD, asthma, and more)
Well-Child and Sports Physicals

Same day medical does not take the place of an emergency room or an urgent care clinic, if you need immediate assistance, please dial 9-1-1 or visit the nearest emergency room.

If you or a family member is experiencing any of the following symptoms, please call 9-1-1 or go to the Emergency Department at your local hospital:

Chest pain, heart attack, difficulty breathing
Stroke or numbness on one side
Severe bleeding or abdominal pain
Major head trauma or loss of consciousness

Dental Services

Open Door dentists, dental therapists, hygienists, and dental assistants are caring and experienced professionals who use the latest equipment and techniques for patients of all ages.

Our Services Include:

Cleaning and exams
Digital and panoramic x-rays
Fillings and extractions
Dentures, partials, crowns, and full mouth rehabilitation
Treatment of gum disease and other chronic conditions

If you have a dental emergency that is causing excessive pain, fever, swelling, please call (507) 388-2120 to be screened for an emergency dental appointment. Our screening staff will place you onto the schedule, if possible.

Students are Part of the Team
Open Door is pleased to partner with Minnesota State University in Mankato and South Central College in North Mankato to offer education in a real clinical setting. Students in dental therapy, dental hygiene, and dental assisting may be part of your care. Your consent and patience as we train the next generation are appreciated.

We offer free assistance with health insurance enrollment through MNsure, Medical Assistance (MA or Medicaid), and MinnesotaCare. Our certified enrollment specialists can help individuals, families, and children apply for coverage and understand their options.

For those without insurance or with high deductible insurance, we offer a sliding fee discount program based on factors such as income and household size.
