At Open Door Health Center, an experienced team of family practice medical providers offer exams and treatment for all ages. We offer a team-based approach. Our caring doctors and Nurse Practitioners are focused on all of your health care needs. These services include:

  • Acute same day visits
  • Immunizations
  • Preventive exams
  • Chronic disease management (diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, COPD, asthma, etc)
  • Consultations with a dietitian

Same Day Medical

Open Door offers same day appointments for patients with immediate health needs. These might include:

  • Fevers, colds, coughs, and sore throats
  • Minor asthma attacks
  • Sinus problems, earaches, and headaches
  • Skin allergies and rashes
  • Illness with nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
  • Minor cuts, lacerations, and stitches
  • Urinary tract infections

Same day medical does not take the place of an emergency room or an urgent care clinic,
if you need immediate assistance please dial 911 or visit the nearest emergency room.

If you or a family member are experiencing any of the following symptoms, please call 911 or go to the Emergency Department at your local hospital:

  • Chest pain, heart attack, difficulty breathing
  • Stroke or numbness on one side
  • Severe bleeding or abdominal pain
  • Major head trauma or loss of consciousness

Yes, we can help you. For those who do not have insurance or have high deductible insurance, we offer a sliding fee discount scale based on several factors including income and household size.

We offer five levels of discounts to those who qualify. We do not quote this information over the phone but request a face-to-face interview to discuss your economic situation in more detail to best help you.  When you come in to meet with one of our Patient Service Representatives, we ask that you bring with you one of the following for proof of income: W-2’s or pay stubs from the last month, your most recent Federal tax return, or social security or other public funding letters.

We do accept private and state insurance. If you have insurance from one of the providers listed below, your services are likely covered. Please discuss with your insurance company whether we are an ‘in-network’ provider for your plan.

Who can come to Open Door Health Center?

We welcome anyone to access their medical, dental and behavioral health care here. We accept public and private insurance plans, as well as offer Self-pay payment options.

How much does it cost to see the Medical Provider?

At Open Door Health Center, we can certainly be considered your primary medical providers.  We are pleased to offer a wide range of treatment options that address your health needs. We provide medical care to our patients regardless of insurance and additionally offer a discount based on several factors including income, household size, etc.  We do not list treatment fees on our website as our sliding fee discounts, along with variables in treatment options to make each treatment plan truly different and unique for each patient.  We encourage interested patients to schedule a visit with one of our providers to discuss their needs.  If you would like to know more about your medical health options and financial details of treatment, please call us at 507.388.2120 and ask for medical scheduling to make your first appointment with us.

Is this a free clinic?

We ask all of our patients to pay something to help cover the cost of their visit.  We do invoice patients and offer payment plans to help them.  Unfortunately, we are not able to see our patients free of charge.
