Behavioral Health Consultants

Our behavioral health consultants work with our medical and dental teams to provide integrated behavioral health services.

Our consultants accompany our patients during medical and dental consultations and procedures in order to help our patients achieve total wellness.

Play Therapists

Open Door’s behavioral health team provides play therapy as an option to help children resolve their problems, better express themselves, and grow as individuals.

According to the Association for Play Therapy, play therapy has been used as a primary intervention or as supportive therapy for:

  • Behavioral problems, such as anger management, grief and loss, divorce and abandonment, and crisis and trauma.
  • Behavioral disorders, such as anxiety, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), autism or pervasive developmental, academic and social developmental, physical and learning disabilities, and conduct disorders.

Yes, we can help you. For those who do not have insurance or have high deductible insurance, we offer a sliding fee discount scale based on several factors including income and household size.

We offer five levels of discounts to those who qualify. We do not quote this information over the phone but request a face-to-face interview to discuss your economic situation in more detail to best help you.  When you come in to meet with one of our Patient Service Representatives, we ask that you bring with you one of the following for proof of income: W-2’s or pay stubs from the last month, your most recent Federal tax return, or social security or other public funding letters.

We do accept private and state insurance. If you have insurance from one of the providers listed below, your services are likely covered. Please discuss with your insurance company whether we are an ‘in-network’ provider for your plan.

Who can come to Open Door Health Center?

We welcome anyone to access their medical, dental and behavioral health care here. We accept public and private insurance plans, as well as offer Self-pay payment options.

How do I find out what discount I could qualify for?

How much does it cost to see the Medical Provider?

At Open Door Health Center, we can certainly be considered your primary medical providers.  We are pleased to offer a wide range of treatment options that address your health needs. We provide medical care to our patients regardless of insurance and additionally offer a discount based on several factors including income, household size, etc.

We do not list treatment fees on our website as our sliding fee discounts, along with variables in treatment options, make each treatment plan truly different and unique for each patient.  We encourage interested patients to schedule a visit with one of our providers to discuss their needs.

Is this a free clinic?

We ask all of our patients to pay something to help cover the cost of their visit.  We do invoice patients and offer payment plans to help them.  Unfortunately, we are not able to see our patients free of charge.

Referrals will be made to other mental health providers if clients are unable to travel to Mankato.
